LEGACY: Knights of Fire, Daze of Freedom

A "knight" is usually defined as someone who existed during medieval times who in romanticized movies, saved people and/or did courageous things. This poster, one of our earliest focuses on actual people in Black history that were courageous and don't need their stories romanticized to realize the importance of their contribution.

This poster, originally created in 1997 features abolitionist Mary Ann Shadd, reverend Captain William White, lawyer Delos Rogest Davis, freedom fighter Harriet Tubman, officer Peter Butler III and journalist Kay Livingstone.

This is the first LEGACY poster to start featuring African-Canadians. The artwork features a pencil and charcoal drawing by African-Canadian artist Robert Small. Get this historic poster today!
