Black people have historically been excluded from the educational and societal access to financial success enjoyed by other races due racism. If we’re being realistic, having wealth is a powerful means to higher levels of society, having a better job and education.
Yes, money cannot get you everything, but it is undoubtedly the rite of passage towards the power that can improve not only individual futures but the Black community as well. Cassandra Dorrington, Delores Lawrence, Michael Lee-Chin, Barbara Manning, and Michael Duck were a few such millionaires who have not only helped the Black community but have helped fill that unjust wealth gap.
